Indonesia 10-Day Adventure
12 September to 21 September 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to the Indonesia 10-Day Adventure taking place from 12 September to 21 September 2026.
By applying for the trip, being accepted onto the trip, paying a deposit, paying the full amount, or participating in the trip, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Trip Overview
The Indonesia 10-Day Adventure is a group adventure experience hosted by Duncan McNaught, White Summit Studios, WhiteSummitTravel, and/or the trip team.
This is an adventure-based group experience. It may include early mornings, hiking, waterfalls, volcano areas, local transport, shared accommodation, remote areas, changing weather, physical activity, and unpredictable local conditions.
This is not a luxury holiday, resort package, or fully controlled tour environment.
You understand that the nature of the trip involves risk, flexibility, and changes to plans when required.
2. Trip Dates
The trip is scheduled to run from 12 September to 21 September 2026.
Participants are responsible for arriving at the agreed starting location on time and departing from the agreed finishing location after the trip ends.
Any accommodation, transport, food, or other costs before or after the official trip dates are the participant’s responsibility unless clearly stated otherwise in writing.
3. Price
The full trip price is $1,490 USD per person.
A deposit of $490 USD is required to secure your place.
If you pay the $490 USD deposit, the remaining balance due is $1,000 USD.
Participants may also choose to pay the full $1,490 USD upfront.
All prices are in United States Dollars (USD) unless stated otherwise.
4. Deposit & Payment Terms
Your place is not confirmed until your deposit or full payment has been received.
The $490 USD deposit secures your place on the trip and confirms your commitment to attend.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than one month before the trip begins. For this trip, the full remaining balance is due by 12 August 2026.
If the full balance is not paid by 12 August 2026, we reserve the right to cancel your place and retain any amounts already paid.
By paying the deposit, you agree that you are committing to the full trip price of $1,490 USD.
If you pay only the deposit and later withdraw, cancel, fail to attend, or change your mind, you remain responsible for the remaining balance unless we agree otherwise in writing or unless otherwise required by applicable law.
5. Refund Policy
All payments are non-refundable for change of mind, personal circumstances, inability to attend, missed flights, illness, injury, visa issues, passport issues, travel disruption, failure to purchase travel insurance, or any other reason outside our control.
This includes the $490 USD deposit and any balance payments.
If you choose to withdraw from the trip after paying your deposit, you will not be entitled to a refund.
If you have paid only the deposit and then withdraw, you remain responsible for paying the remaining balance unless we agree otherwise in writing or unless otherwise required by applicable law.
This refund policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
6. Transfers & Replacement Participants
If you can no longer attend, you may request to transfer your place to another suitable person.
Any replacement participant must be approved by us before the transfer is accepted.
We are not required to accept a replacement participant.
If we approve the replacement participant and they pay the required amount, we may release you from future payment obligations at our discretion.
Any transfer may be subject to additional costs, supplier fees, administrative fees, or price differences.
7. What Is Included
The specific inclusions will be provided in the trip information page, itinerary, acceptance message, or other written trip materials.
Inclusions may include selected accommodation, local transport during the trip, certain activities, guides, permits, selected meals, and planned group experiences, depending on the final itinerary.
Only items clearly listed as included are included in the trip price.
Any item not clearly listed as included should be assumed to be excluded.
8. What Is Not Included
Unless clearly stated otherwise in writing, the trip price does not include:
International flights
Domestic flights unless specifically listed
Airport transfers unless specifically listed
Travel insurance
Visas or entry requirements
Passport costs
Vaccinations or medical costs
Personal spending money
Extra food, drinks, snacks, or alcohol
Laundry
SIM cards or phone data
Extra accommodation before or after the trip
Transport before the trip starts or after the trip ends
Costs caused by missed flights, delays, illness, injury, personal decisions, or failure to follow instructions
9. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is compulsory.
You are responsible for purchasing travel insurance that covers Indonesia, adventure activities, medical treatment, emergency evacuation, personal injury, trip cancellation, lost luggage, and any activities you choose to participate in.
Adventure activities and remote-area travel may not be covered under standard travel insurance policies, so you must check your policy carefully.
You may be required to provide proof of travel insurance before the trip begins.
If you fail to obtain suitable travel insurance, you may be refused participation without refund.
10. Passport, Visa & Entry Requirements
You are responsible for ensuring that you have a valid passport, any required visa, and all documents required to enter Indonesia.
You are also responsible for checking entry rules, health requirements, customs rules, and airline requirements before departure.
We are not responsible if you are denied boarding, denied entry, delayed, fined, removed from the trip, or unable to participate because of passport, visa, legal, medical, immigration, airline, or documentation issues.
11. Health, Fitness & Medical Conditions
You confirm that you are physically and mentally capable of participating in an adventure-based group trip.
You must inform us before the trip of any relevant medical conditions, allergies, injuries, dietary requirements, mental health conditions, medications, disabilities, or other circumstances that may affect your safety or participation.
You are responsible for bringing any medication, medical supplies, or personal health items you require.
We may refuse participation in certain activities if we reasonably believe it would be unsafe for you, the group, the guides, the host, or the local team.
If you fail to disclose relevant health, medical, or fitness information, we are not responsible for any consequences that arise from that failure.
12. Assumption of Risk
You understand that this trip involves inherent risks.
These risks may include, but are not limited to:
Slips, trips, and falls
Hiking injuries
Swimming and waterfall risks
Volcano, mountain, and outdoor conditions
Motorbike, car, van, boat, ferry, or local transport risks
Remote-area delays
Weather changes
Heat, dehydration, fatigue, or exhaustion
Food-related illness
Insect bites or animal-related risks
Lost, stolen, or damaged belongings
Local infrastructure limitations
Medical access delays
Cultural, language, or logistical misunderstandings
Decisions made by third-party suppliers, guides, drivers, or operators
By joining the trip, you voluntarily accept these risks.
You agree to follow safety instructions given by the host, local guides, drivers, accommodation providers, activity operators, and trip team.
13. Participant Behaviour
You must behave respectfully towards the host, team, local guides, other participants, local communities, accommodation staff, drivers, activity providers, and the public.
We may remove you from the trip without refund if you:
Act aggressively, abusively, dangerously, or disrespectfully
Harass, threaten, bully, or intimidate anyone
Engage in racism, sexism, homophobia, or discriminatory behaviour
Ignore safety instructions
Put yourself or others at risk
Damage property
Break local laws
Use illegal drugs
Repeatedly disrupt the group experience
Act in a way that damages the safety, reputation, atmosphere, or operation of the trip
If you are removed from the trip, you are responsible for your own transport, accommodation, food, and onward travel costs.
No refund will be provided if you are removed due to your behaviour.
14. Alcohol, Drugs & Local Laws
You are responsible for following all local laws in Indonesia.
Illegal drug use, possession, purchase, or distribution is strictly prohibited.
You are responsible for your own behaviour if you choose to consume alcohol.
We may remove you from the trip without refund if alcohol, drugs, or reckless behaviour create a safety issue, legal issue, reputational issue, or negative impact on the group.
15. Itinerary Changes
The itinerary may change due to weather, safety concerns, road conditions, volcanic activity, local advice, transport delays, supplier issues, group safety, illness, force majeure, or other circumstances outside our control.
We will make reasonable efforts to provide a similar experience where possible.
Changes to the itinerary do not automatically entitle you to a refund.
You understand that adventure travel requires flexibility and that some activities, locations, timings, routes, or accommodation may change.
16. Third-Party Suppliers
Parts of the trip may be delivered by third-party suppliers, including accommodation providers, drivers, guides, transport operators, restaurants, activity providers, boat operators, and local partners.
We are not responsible for acts, omissions, delays, failures, injuries, losses, or damages caused by third-party suppliers, except where required by law.
You agree to follow the rules, terms, and safety instructions of third-party suppliers.
17. Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the trip where necessary due to safety concerns, insufficient numbers, natural disasters, extreme weather, volcanic activity, political unrest, government restrictions, supplier failure, illness, force majeure, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If we cancel the trip before it starts, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and explain your options.
Any refund, credit, transfer, or alternative arrangement will depend on the circumstances, non-recoverable costs, supplier policies, and applicable law.
We are not responsible for additional costs you incur due to cancellation, postponement, or modification, including flights, visas, insurance, accommodation, transport, lost income, or personal expenses.
18. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform, delays, cancellations, itinerary changes, or additional costs caused by events outside our reasonable control.
This may include, but is not limited to:
Natural disasters
Extreme weather
Volcanic activity
Landslides
Road closures
Pandemics or epidemics
Government restrictions
Border closures
Strikes
Transport disruption
Political unrest
War
Terrorism
Civil disturbance
Supplier failure
Medical emergencies
Any event that makes the trip unsafe, impractical, impossible, or commercially unreasonable to operate
19. Personal Responsibility
You are responsible for:
Arriving on time
Booking correct flights
Having valid documents
Following local laws
Respecting local culture
Managing your belongings
Managing your health
Purchasing suitable travel insurance
Making safe personal decisions
Following reasonable instructions
Paying any additional costs caused by your own actions, delays, or choices
You understand that failure to take personal responsibility may affect your ability to participate in the trip.
20. Media Consent
This trip may be filmed, photographed, and recorded for social media, YouTube, marketing, promotional material, storytelling, and future trip content.
By joining the trip, you consent to being filmed, photographed, and recorded during the experience.
You give us permission to use your image, voice, name, likeness, appearance, and participation in content connected to the trip, Duncan McNaught, White Summit Studios, WhiteSummitTravel, and related brands, platforms, or projects.
This content may be used across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, websites, advertisements, promotional material, sponsor material, and other media channels.
You understand that you will not be entitled to payment, royalties, approval rights, or ownership over this content.
If you have specific privacy concerns, you must raise them with us before the trip begins.
21. Personal Content
You are welcome to take your own photos and videos during the trip, provided this does not disrupt the experience, disrespect local communities, breach privacy, or interfere with the safety of the group.
You may not commercially represent yourself as an official organiser, host, guide, sponsor, or partner of the trip without our written permission.
You may not use trip content in a way that damages the reputation of the host, team, participants, local communities, or trip brand.
22. Personal Belongings
You are responsible for your own belongings at all times.
We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged luggage, camera gear, phones, passports, money, clothing, or personal items.
You should ensure your travel insurance covers personal belongings and valuables.
23. Dietary Requirements
You must inform us of any dietary requirements, allergies, or food restrictions before the trip begins.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary requirements, but we cannot guarantee that all requirements can be met in every location.
You are responsible for managing serious allergies and carrying any necessary medication, including an EpiPen if required.
24. Room Sharing & Group Accommodation
Accommodation may be shared unless clearly stated otherwise.
Participants may be required to share rooms with other participants.
Accommodation standards may vary depending on location, availability, local infrastructure, and the adventure-based nature of the trip.
You understand that this is not a luxury accommodation experience.
25. Acceptance, Selection & Refusal of Participation
Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance onto the trip.
We reserve the right to accept or decline applicants at our discretion.
We may refuse participation before or during the trip if we believe a participant is unsuitable, unsafe, disrespectful, unprepared, medically unfit, or likely to negatively affect the group dynamic.
If a participant provides false, misleading, or incomplete information during the application process, we may cancel their place without refund.
26. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for injury, illness, death, loss, damage, delay, additional expense, emotional distress, missed flights, lost income, loss of enjoyment, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your participation in the trip.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid directly to us for the trip.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights that cannot legally be excluded, restricted, or modified under applicable law.
27. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us for any loss, damage, cost, claim, liability, or expense caused by your actions, negligence, breach of these Terms & Conditions, breach of local law, or failure to follow reasonable instructions.
This includes any damage caused to property, suppliers, local partners, accommodation, vehicles, equipment, other participants, or third parties.
28. Communication
Important trip information may be sent by email, Instagram, WhatsApp, group chat, or another communication method selected by the trip team.
You are responsible for checking messages and responding to important trip communications before and during the trip.
We are not responsible for issues caused by your failure to read or respond to trip communications.
29. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia, unless another jurisdiction is required by applicable law.
Any dispute will first be handled through reasonable communication between both parties.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be dealt with according to the applicable laws and courts of South Australia, Australia, unless otherwise required by law.
30. Acceptance of Terms
By paying the deposit or full trip amount, you confirm that:

You agree to be bound by them
You understand the trip is adventure-based and involves risk
You understand that the full trip price is $1,490 USD
You understand that the deposit is $490 USD
You understand that the remaining $1,000 USD balance is due by 12 August 2026
You understand all payments are non-refundable except where required by law
You understand you are responsible for the full trip amount once your place is confirmed
You understand travel insurance is compulsory
You agree to act respectfully and follow safety instructions
You understand that you may be filmed, photographed, and recorded during the trip
